Membership

The Council of State Chambers provides the opportunity for accomplished chamber executives to improve the performance of their own chamber via exchange of worst and best practices, information, experience and intelligence in an atmosphere of camaraderie and interaction.

COSC is primarily a CEO peer group for state chamber of commerce executives. Programming is designed for the lead executive and covers a variety of administrative and organization material including executive compensation, strategic planning, finance and human resources topics.

In addition, COSC works with state and national chamber partners to provide updates on legislative issues that are common across states or of federal importance. COSC brings state chamber CEOs together with experts on taxation, labor, economic, legal, environmental and regulatory matters. State chambers frequently send government affairs staff to attend.

COSC holds two meetings a year and offers a national network for best practices, benchmarking and resources.
